Graphics for hard-working machines
Heavy Equipment Decals and Lettering
Identify a machine, match a fleet, and make the company behind the work easy to recognize. Same Day Vinyl produces cut outdoor vinyl and full-color Latex printed vinyl for custom equipment logos, unit numbers, contact graphics, and lettering. Each kit is planned from machine photos, panel measurements, artwork, and job conditions.
Send photos of the exact machine. Cut, contour-cut, weeded, and transfer-taped ready-to-apply kits are available. We do not reproduce safety or manufacturer labels without verified specifications.
One machine, many surfaces
Plan graphics around the equipment, not a generic template
A skid steer, excavator, tractor, and crane truck offer different panel shapes, access points, and working clearances. Share close and wide photos so the lettering can avoid controls, vents, hinges, moving parts, high-heat areas, and existing required labels.
Company identity
Place a readable logo or business name on a suitable panel where it stays visible during normal operation.
Unit and fleet numbers
Keep equipment IDs consistent across machines while sizing each set for the actual panel and viewing distance.
Contact graphics
Add a phone number or web address where there is room to read it without crowding the company mark.
Replacement branding
Refresh worn business graphics or match an existing fleet style when you can provide accurate files, colors, and measurements.
Fit and durability
Surface, size, material, and service conditions
Measure the usable panel
Send height and width for each intended location, plus photos showing seams, handles, rivets, and contours. A proof should be based on the real machine.
Describe the environment
Tell us about sun, abrasion, washing, fuel or chemical exposure, and contact with tools or debris. These conditions influence the graphic and placement recommendation.
Prepare the surface
A clean, sound, compatible surface matters for adhesion. Rust, peeling paint, oil, heavy texture, and damage should be reported before production or installation.
Keep safety information separate
Factory warning labels, load ratings, and required identification have different obligations from decorative business graphics. Supply official specifications for any such replacement request.
Artwork to approval
What to send for equipment lettering
- Machine make, model, year if known, and photos from each side.
- Dimensions of the target panels and quantity of machines.
- Logo files, exact wording, unit numbers, and color references.
- Exposure, installation plan, pickup or shipping destination, and deadline.
Vector AI, EPS, SVG, or vector PDF files help keep logos crisp. We’ll review other artwork if vector files are unavailable. Material, complexity, size, quantity, and proof readiness affect price and schedule.

Quick answers
Equipment decal FAQs
Can you letter a skid steer or excavator?
Send the machine model, panel photos, measurements, and intended wording. We’ll review whether the requested placement and graphic format are suitable.
How long will the graphics last outdoors?
Service life varies with material, surface condition, weather, abrasion, cleaning, and exposure. We’ll recommend a project-specific option rather than promise a universal lifespan.
Can I order matching unit numbers for multiple machines?
Yes—provide the unit list and photos or measurements for each machine type so the set can be consistent without assuming all panels are identical.
Can you reproduce OEM safety decals?
We need exact, verified manufacturer specifications for required safety or regulatory labels. A custom branding quote does not certify replacement safety labeling.
