Receive Printed Wrap Panels Before Installation

Receiving wrap prints and approving an installation are separate steps. Compare the delivered pieces with the approved panel schedule before cutting, trimming or applying them. This receiving checklist does not establish a shipping claim deadline, warranty entitlement or guaranteed fit.

Agree on the handoff before the shipment

Use the wrap-artwork guide before production to settle panel dimensions, orientation, bleed and overlap with the installer. Ask which labels or packing information can accompany the order and who will receive it. Keep the approved proof and panel schedule available at that destination.

Confirm the installation arrangement separately. Print-and-ship does not mean a local installer is included. An installer should approve the measurements and seam plan before artwork release; discovering a missing overlap allowance at delivery is too late to treat it as an automatic production assumption.

Match the contents to the schedule

Receiving check What to compare If something differs
Panel identity Unit, side and panel label Isolate the piece and clarify its intended location
Artwork version Current proof and printed wording Record the mismatch before cutting or applying
Piece count Actual pieces versus the agreed schedule Check whether sets and individual pieces were counted differently
Visible condition Packaging and the uninstalled print Photograph the condition and contact the team for next steps

These are review steps, not a claim that a particular label format, inspection service or packaging option is included. Ask for the required handling and storage instructions for the actual supplied material. Do not substitute a generic temperature, shelf-life or rolling direction from another product’s instructions.

Check orientation before committing a panel

With the installer, compare the labeled side and orientation against the vehicle photographs and seam plan. A left-side piece is not necessarily interchangeable with a right-side piece. Keep backing material and labels associated with the correct piece during this review.

Avoid removing liners or trimming a questionable print merely to investigate it. Document the problem and contact the supplier and installer first. Do not apply damaged, mismatched or uncertain material while expecting that a later photograph will establish its original condition. Any remedy or freight claim depends on the actual order and carrier terms, which this guide does not define.

Review the surface again

Vehicle condition may change between measurement and installation. Fresh repairs, residues, existing graphics or a different replacement panel should trigger a compatibility review. Manufacturer instructions such as 3M’s substrate-selection bulletin are specific to their material systems; they are not evidence that every delivered film has the same preparation requirements.

For a future reorder, retain the approved version, measured panel schedule and photographs with the job records. Do not promise an exact material or color match without checking current availability.
