WHAT TO CHECK.
BEFORE YOU ORDER.
Start with the researched considerations for your project. National rules remain national; your registration jurisdiction may differ from your shipping destination.
Check all three exemption conditions together
Idaho Parks and Recreation says a watercraft must be less than ten feet long, nonmotorized and inflatable to qualify for the listed Invasive Species Fund sticker exemption. Meeting only one condition is not the same as meeting all three. Record the actual length, construction and propulsion of each craft, then confirm applicability with the agency before planning the graphics. A custom decal order does not establish an exemption or provide an official ISF sticker.
Identify the official sticker before adding artwork
The department says Idaho-registered watercraft have the invasive-species sticker included in registration and that the sticker must remain visible. Its guidance separately covers incoming watercraft not registered in Idaho. Check the appropriate state process for the actual craft instead of ordering a decorative copy or assuming every item in a mixed fleet uses the same paperwork. On the artwork proof, distinguish custom lettering and logos from the official item obtained through the issuing process.

PROJECT BRIEF.
Build a mixed-craft inventory before choosing materials
Make one row for each rigid boat, inflatable, kayak or other craft in the order. Include its identifying name, length, propulsion, surface material and the exact custom pieces requested. Photograph the proposed application area and note texture, flexible seams and existing coatings. Ask the reviewer to assess whether the requested vinyl is suitable before approving a design. If the hull cannot accept the proposed material or layout, resolve the installation approach first; a visually attractive mockup alone does not establish a workable application.
Give matching business graphics their own proof records
A shared logo may be used on the boat, tow vehicle and contractor trailer, but each surface needs a separate measured layout. Provide approved company wording and applicable USDOT identifiers for road vehicles independently of vessel registration text. For race graphics, attach the current number and sponsor instructions to that asset. Label every proof with its side, quantity and revision. Include replacements and spare pieces as separate line items so the receiving person can tell what belongs on each surface without guessing from the artwork filename.
Review the surface and receiving details in the quote
Supply the Idaho shipping ZIP code, recipient and a list of materials or surface treatments that are already present. Tell the reviewer if the craft will be inflated, repainted or otherwise prepared by an independent installer before application. Printed vehicle-wrap panels require approved dimensions, seams and overlap. Quote review confirms material availability, production timing and freight; installation is arranged separately. Saving or exporting a configuration preserves specifications for review and does not obtain a state sticker, complete payment or set an arrival date.
