Include the livery name in the rental-fleet specification
Utah Outdoor Recreation’s commercial-boating guidance says boat liveries must register annually and display the livery name on the outside of the vessel. Confirm the approved business name and which craft belong in the rental fleet before preparing lettering. Keep the name artwork separate from assigned vessel numbers and official decals. Buying a name set does not register the livery or satisfy the other operating requirements listed by the agency.
Do not mix dealer demonstration and rental layouts
The agency separately directs dealers demonstrating, servicing or testing motorboats or sailboats to register with the Division and display the assigned number and decal on a backing plate while the vessel is in use. Treat that dealer-specific instruction as a separate workflow, not a general mounting rule for every boat. Identify whether each project is a rental vessel, dealer demonstration or privately operated boat and confirm the applicable requirements before approving its artwork.

PROJECT BRIEF.
Create an operational-status matrix for the fleet
Start the quote with a table containing the asset identifier, operating role, approved livery or company name, assigned text and requested graphic pieces. Add photographs and measured application areas for each hull style. Mark who will approve the wording and who will review placement. If a vessel changes from demonstration use to a rental fleet, treat that as a new proof review rather than copying the earlier graphics package. Keep registration decisions with the authority and use the matrix to document the resulting custom-artwork requirements.
Plan replacements without changing the fleet identity
For a rental operator, separate recurring company-name pieces from asset-specific characters so a damaged logo can be requested without recreating the whole kit. Retain the approved artwork revision, dimensions and side for every item. A truck or trailer used by the business needs its own company and applicable carrier wording, even when its logo matches the boat. Race vehicles or sponsor panels should remain separate orders within the same package list. Ask the reviewer about matching older installed material before assuming a new replacement will look identical.
Arrange proof approval before the installation booking
Provide the Utah destination ZIP code, receiving contact and quantities by asset. For printed-and-shipped vehicle wraps, get the independent installer’s panel boundaries and overlap requirements before production. Include close-up surface photographs and any planned removal or repainting work in the quote request. Confirm materials, production timing and freight before coordinating the installation, which is arranged separately. An exported configuration can accompany the fleet matrix and artwork files, but it does not complete a purchase, grant operating permission or commit to a delivery date.
